Biography

Andrew Gunsberg was born in London, England and holds dual British / Australian citizenship. At the age of 38 he decided to change his name to Osher (Hebrew for happiness) to signal his changed outlook and attitude to life

Better Than Yesterday is a podcast that aims to make today just that little bit better than yesterday with a guest who has figured out how to manage life’s challenges to forge a career where they do what they love to do.

Osher is one of Australia’s most recognisable media personalities and has been a guest in the living rooms of Australian’s for nearly 2 decades.

His media career media began in 1994,with the overnight shift at B105 Radio Station in Brisbane. He soon became well known nationally.

He was the first Australian to host live network prime time TV in the USA on Live To Dance (CBS).

He currently hosts three formats within The Bachelor franchise – The Bachelor Australia, The Bachelorette Australia and Bachelor in Paradise, and narrates Bondi Rescue.

(Last year) saw his return to live TV where he hosted season 1 of the smash-hit show, The Masked Singer Australia .

The release of his memoir, Back, After the Break (HarperCollins Australia) became an instant best-seller and detailed his powerful, dark, funny and heart-wrenching story about life, love and living with mental illness.

It was nominated for a 2019 Australian Book Industry Award for Best Biography Book of the Year and a live show followed.

Osher was previously an Ambassador for leading children’s charity The Shepherd Centre to help educate the public and help children who are born deaf or hearing impaired.

He is a passionate photographer, cyclist, plant eater and coffee connoisseur.

He lives with his wife Audrey, stepdaughter and son in Sydney, Australia
