Biography

Frances Watts was born in Lausanne, Switzerland, and moving to Australia when very young.

After studying literature at university, she spent nearly ten years working as an editor with some of Australia’s most talented children’s authors and illustrators.

Then a ‘light bulb moment’ became her first book, Kisses for Daddy, illustrated by David Legge.

She has now written more than 25 books for children and young adults, several of which have won and been shortlisted for literary and children’s choice awards.

Her books have been translated into more than 20 languages.
