Biography

Yvette Poshoglian is the bestselling author of over 40 books for children and young readers. She writes the wildly popular Ella and Olivia series (28 books and counting!), the Frankie Fox Girl Spy books and has written historical fiction including My Australian Story: Escape from Cockatoo Island

Her series Puppy Diary launched in 2019 and the third book in the series, Pupstars, arrived in 2020. This series is for readers aged 6-9.

Yvette has worked as an English teacher in southwest Sydney and has strong experience in collaborating and consulting on educational projects. Yvette recently ran the New South Wales Premier’s Reading Challenge for their Department of Education and continues to work with the Department on a variety of projects. Currently, she works with the Technology 4 Learning team and in 2020 created Everyone’s an Author, a digital creative writing program featuring 10 Aussie authors.

Yvette is a regular guest and panel host at writers’ festivals and continues to work in schools with both students and teachers in the area of creative writing, storytelling and literacy. She is proud to be an ambassador for the charity Books in Homes.
