Bestselling author Marian Keyes – Big Night Out 3, Girls’ Night In, 10th Anniversary Edition – has just had the ultimate accolade, a portrait of her has been unveiled at the National Gallery of Ireland.
Author of countless bestselling books, including Rachel’s Holiday, Again Rachel, The Grown-ups and The Brightest Star in the Sky, Marian has earned her place in the literary world and is one of the UK’s most popular as well as most humorous writers.
The painting is called The Composition – A portrait of Marian Keyes, and was painted by Dublin born Margaret Corcoran. This is part of the collection at the National Gallery of Ireland celebrating the most influential figures in Irish history.
Having sold more than 30 million books worldwide, Limerick born Marian Keyes is definitely deserving of such an amazing honour.
Marian said of the painting (on twitter) “I am SO honoured and SO delighted that the National Gallery of Ireland commissioned the AMAZING Margaret Corcoran to paint my portrait. I LOVE it.”
It will be on public view from April.
