Celebrity chef, cookbook author and contributor – Big Night Out 3, Kids’ Night In 2 – is passionate about healthy eating for children and so it’s no surprise that Jamie launched the Good School Food awards last year and it’s back! Nominations are now open and you have until the end of March to do so to celebrate those who are helping to keep our children healthy.
Jamie says of the awards’ second year: “After the huge success of last year’s awards, we knew there were many more unsung school food heroes who deserved some big love. These are the people who go the extra mile to feed our kids good food and teach them about the joy of cooking.” Jamie Oliver.
Inspired by the award winning documentary Jamie’s School Dinners eighteen years ago, he created the awards to celebrate how far things have come since the show. With star studded judging panel that he heads up -including DJ Greg James, Fitness guru Joe Wicks, and CBeebies presenter George Webster – and huge sponsors (Tefal) plus their media partners, this year plans to be bigger than ever. And the idea of celebrating good food for our younger generation is hopefully here to stay.
